IN FRANCE
After walkingthe via Podiensis (GR 65)from Le Puy-en-Velay to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, as I was about to climb like thousands of pilgrims from all over the world to theRoncesvalles pass, I decided at the last moment, guided by my intuition, to take another path less traveled.
I preferred to follow the pathde great hike 10 which crosses the Pyrenees to reach the ocean at Hendaye. I was finally able to realize my dream of discovering the Basque Country slowly, step by step.
Here, the landscapes are like nowhere else with its green hills as far as the eye can see, its small peaks, its wild horses, not to mention pretty villages, each more picturesque than the next.

5 DAYS OF WALKING / ABOUT 100 KILOMETERS
1- Saint-Jean-Pied de-Port / Saint-Etienne de Baigorry, Pyrénées Atlantiques, about 19 km.
2- Saint-Etienne de Baigorry / Bidarray,
Pyrénées Atlantiques, about 18 km.
3- Bidarray / Ainhoa,
Pyrénées Atlantiques, about 22 km.
4- Ainhoa / Olhette,
Pyrénées Atlantiques, about 20 km.
5- Olhette / Hendaye,
Pyrénées Atlantiques, about 21 km.
